Managing data assets is a key strategy for an effective data governance program. "Data assets" refer to any entities that comprise data - such as databases, applications, data marts, extracts, reports/dashboards, metrics, and glossaries. Inventorying those data assets helps position your data governance efforts for success by providing tools for your employees to better understand (and interact with) the data assets that fall within the purview of your data governance program.

This webinar will provide guidelines for identifying your data assets and documenting them using tools you may already own to start your inventorying journey.
